The following areas in Moodle/Totara should be checked after an upgrading to ensure that there are no issues and the site is ready to use. This list is a recommendation of areas to check and is not limited to the items listed below.
Login in
Because the site is in maintenance mode the login page has to be reached by using the direct login page URL such as learning.example.com/login where you would replace the learning.example.com with the URL (domain) of your Moodle / Totara site.

Check certificates - check for custom images, custom certificates, check accessibility of the certificate

New Features and Settings

Going live
When ready to restore access to the site for instructors and learners by take site out of Maintenance Mode
Site Administration > Server > Maintenance mode
