Why is Totara Sync failing and not having the sync file transferred?
When using Totara Sync and troubleshooting why a file is not uploaded to the directory for processing it is recommended to check the following areas for failure.
- Check that the SFTP is working by manually logging in using a program such as Filezilla then upload a test file to the location. This verifies the login works and the account has write permissions to the directory. In addition, it is possible to see if Totara can process the file.
- Check that the credentials entered into the HR System passing the learner's information over to Totara is configured correctly. Check the username, password, and host location.
- If the HR system is able to access Totara but the file is not being transferred check that the path information is entered correctly.
A: Double check that the path is correct
B: Try switching the path information from a full path to relative. For example: the full path of "/home/companyabc/totarasync/csv/ready" to the relative path of "/totarasync/csv/ready"
